Mask

We are all just wearing a mask—
Not one you can buy,
But one we create.

A mask with no limits:
Any shape,
Any size,
Anything we want.

It hides the pain,
Drowns the sorrows,
And, most of all,
Turns us into someone we’re not.

Easy to wear,
Hard to resist.

On the outside, the pain fades within seconds,
But inside, it grows—
Gnawing, hurting, terrifying.

A mask is just a bandage,
Holding things together
Temporarily.

Let it fall.
Let it crash to the ground.
That’s not you.

Let your true self shine
Through those broken shards.
Don’t pick them up.
Not again.
They only cut deeper.

What you need isn’t hidden there.
Look at yourself—
Your flesh and bones.

That’s you.
The real you.

Find it.
Chase it.
Embrace it.

Only you know who you are.
Time will heal you—
Not a mask.

Set it aside.
Follow your heart.
Be who you want to be,
Not a shadow of yourself.

Change comes from within.
Don’t let others define you.

Find the right people.
They’ll stay.
They’ll support you.

Grow each day—
Through every experience,
Old and new.

But don’t wear a mask.
