MASK OFF
Foam Party
I got to plan and run a high-energy foam party for young adults, handling everything from the first idea to the night itself. It taught me a lot about event planning and logistics.
I picked and coordinated the vendors for finger foods, rented the foam machines that the whole theme was built around, and worked with sponsors to secure AUD 5,000 in funding and services. I also brought in local up-and-coming artists to perform, which gave the night its own feel.
From locking in sponsors to making the night fun for everyone who came, I made sure every detail was planned and sorted. It went really well, and it’s the project that made me realise I wanted to work in events.
MEWO Weekly Events and others
I plan and host weekly events for the MEWO community. Some are game-based, and some are contests like "Guess the Song" and photography competitions, which get people being creative and chatting with each other.
MEGA Events
I helped out at Red Bull Campus Clutch, a global esports tournament for university students. Red Bull's team did most of the planning, so my job was to pitch in on the day wherever I was needed.
It was a great way to see how a big event runs behind the scenes, and how much teamwork and quick thinking it takes when everything’s moving fast. It was also just fun to be part of something that got a lot of students together to compete and celebrate gaming.
